Arterial smart canula ® production is ISO 9001 certified and all available types of smart canula ® are CE 0344 labeled. Arterial smart canula ® for either peripheral or central canulation with maximal canula expansion from 12 F up to 24 F (maximal flow > 6l/min for a 24F access aperture) are available. Typical applications for the arterial smart canula ® include:
Large arterial smart canula ®
Ordering number | A 3/8 24 260 S | Typical application | Femoral/aortic cannulation for CPB | Typical tip position | Iliac artery/aorta | Total length | 26 cm | Connecting tube | 3/8 inch | Guide wire diameter | 0.035 inch | Size in collapsed configuration | < 18 F | Size in expanded configuration | 24 F | Typical flows up to | 6 l/min |
The 24 F arterial smart canula ® is designed for peripheral cannulation of the femoral artery or direct aortic cannulation. Prior to insertion, the arterial smart canula ® is stretched with the corresponding mandrel and inserted over a guide wire. Care has to be taken that the guide wire is positioned within the arterial/aortic lumen (check position with TEE). Once the arterial smart canula ® is inserted, it is important to remove the guide wire prior to the mandrel in order to prevent cannula tip dislocation.
Medium arterial smart canula ® Ordering number | A 3/8 20 260 S | Typical application | Femoral, axillary, or direct aortic cannulation for CPB | Typical tip position | Arterial/aortic lumen | Total length | 26 cm | Connecting tube | 3/8 inch | Guide wire diameter | 0.035 inch | Size in collapsed configuration | < 15 F | Size in expanded configuration | 20 F | Typical flows up to | 5 l/min |
The 20 F arterial smart canula ® is designed for peripheral cannulation of the femoral/axillary artery or direct aortic cannulation in smaller patients.
Small arterial smart canula ® Ordering number | A 1/4 16 220 S | Typical application | Femoral, axillary or direct aortic cannulation for CPB | Typical tip position | arterial /aortic lumen | Total length | 22 cm | Connecting tube | 1/4 inch | Guide wire diameter | 0.035 inch | Size in collapsed configuration | < 12 F | Size in expanded configuration | 16 F | Typical flows up to | 4 l/min |
The 16 F arterial smart canula ® is designed for peripheral cannulation of the femoral/axillary artery or direct aortic cannulation in even smaller patients.
